HOLLYWOOD set designer Sonja Klaus was the special guest judge at the annual art contest held at a Sheffield school.
Sonja, who has worked on films like Gladiator and Kingdom Of Heaven, was welcomed by children and staff at Ashdell School in Broomhill.

The theme of this year's event was 'pirates around the world' and Sonya said she was delighted to be involved.

Sonya was also chief designer at Jordan and Peter Andre's wedding and Star Wars director George Lucas' recent Hollywood private party.

"I'm thrilled to have been asked to judge the art competition at Ashdell," she said.

"The children are so enthusiastic and come up with very imaginative ideas. The standard is work is very high across the ages and it's so obvious the girls get a great satisfaction out of their art work."

Sonya lives in Los Angeles but stopped off at Ashdell while visiting her sister who is art teacher there.
