TWO men were injured when they crashed their car in Sheffield during the early hours of Sunday morning.
They were travelling in a red Toyota Corolla along Queens Road towards the city centre at around 1.10am when the driver failed to negotiate a left hand turn at the junction with Granville Square and hit a lamppost.

The driver, aged 38, suffered a
broken collar bone, fractured ribs and a fractured left knee cap.

He was detained in the Northern General Hospital.

His front seat passenger, a 28-year-old Sheffield man, was allowed home.

Police say just before the smash the two men were involved in a minor accident with a silver Toyota Avensis private hire vehicle.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or the collision , should call the South Yorkshire Police Accident Witness Helpline on 0114 2202970.
