Driver killed in bypass smash named - PICTURE

A WOMAN has died after her car was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry on the A616 Whams Road between the Stocksbridge bypass and Woodhead Pass.
Pamela Thurlow, aged 57, of New Rossington, near Doncaster, was driving towards Sheffield at around 6.10am yesterday when the smash occurred.

The 37-year-old lorry driver, from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
