TICKETS for a sell-out Sheffield show by Arctic Monkeys' frontman Alex Turner's side project the Last Shadow Puppets are being sold over the internet for up to five times their face value.
The act, formed by Turner and Miles Kane of Liverpool band The Rascals, who scored a number one in the charts with album The Age of the Understatement, performs at City Hall on October 23.

Fans who bought tickets from the box office paid £27.50 ea
ch when they went on sale on Saturday morning.

But, within hours, there were reports of them selling for up to £142 each through eBay on the internet.

Two tickets for the Sheffield event, in the main Oval Hall, are currently being auctioned via the website priced £149 - or £74.50 each.

The advert for the tickets, in the third row of the balcony, reads: "You are bidding on one of the shows of 2008!"

But people who missed out on a ticket may not need to fork out such a hefty sum.

City Hall's website advises people to call the box office as there may be a limited number of tickets returned by people who have bought them but then found they cannot attend. Call 0114 278 9789.
