DEVONSHIRE Green turned red this weekend - courtesy of a real life fire engine.
The engine was driven by volunteers from Sheffield's Fire and Police Museum who wanted to show off some of their collection of fire and crime fighting gear.
And children's TV favourite Welephant from Fireman Sam was there as well.
Matt Wakefield from the museum in West Bar said: "We took along a range of old and new fire fighting uniforms so visitors were able to see how they had changed over the years.
"People were also invited to try them on and see what's it's like to be a real fire fighter.
"Hopefully our visit will inspire a few children to try and become firefighters themselves."
The visit made up part of a Devonshire Green's Fun Day which also featured craft activities, bouncy castles, fair ground rides, face painting, skate board demonstrations, food and live music.
