I'M a pupil at Wisewood and don't understand why the school has to close.
I've been told by my teachers that Wisewood is now a top school after great GCSE results again.

Most of the teachers I've talked to say they don't want Wisewood to close and the pupils feel the same.

The Lib Dems said they would stop Wisewood f
rom closing. Are the pupils not an important factor any more?

If the kids are happy going to this school this has to be a good thing.

I asked the headteacher why someone wants to close our top school - she said Myers is not doing well and with pupils and a few teachers from this school Myers pupils would do better.

That's why we need to merge so we are one big school.

But what if this big school fails? Who picks up all the mess? Who will suffer?

With all the gangs in this area I would not feel safe walking a long way to this new school.

Please stop this merger: teachers and pupils don't want it.

I've told my mom I will not go to this new school; they can't make me and my friends unhappy like this.

Please listen and keep our school open

Well said, surely common sense should prevail?

I think it is disgraceful that the Liberal Democrats promised to keep Wisewood open and then, as soon as they got into power, they reneged on their promise.

Lib dems did fight to stop the merger, its labour that have wanted this merger!!

Jim Knight-labour government said IF the merger did not go ahead then we may stop all bsf money for all schools in sheffield!!
Lib dems -came up with two options to save wisewood but labour turned them down- we have also our Labour MPs to blame for this as well
