A FEW days ago, a dog was weaving in and out of the traffic on Woodseats Road.
We stopped our car and took it to Woodseats police station. The light was off and an intercom message told us to ring the council dog warden.
I noticed a dog kennel at the side of the police station and then saw police officers inside. I knocked o
n the window and they let me in with the dog.
They said they couldn't take it (we couldn't as we were going on holiday) and said they had lost the key to the kennel.
We should either ring the dog warden (out-of-hours, no reply) or just let it go back on the road.
This dog could have caused a death on the road or been killed itself.
It was incredulous that they told us to do this, especially as they had a kennel.
Can this be right?
