Let's see how our councillors voted

IN the recent debate to apply for the Schole Hill field at Penistone, part of which has planning consent for a Tesco supermarket and parking lot, would Penistone Town Council publish the names of all councillors who took part in the debate: those for, those against, and those who declared an interest and did not vote?
I believe that, as once a year the Penistone Agricultural Show Committee is given free rental for a week then charges for entrance on the Show Day, this makes this a 'commercial' site and now requires a new planning consent for change of occupancy.

The Round Table's annual dance with licensed bar also designates this a 'commercial' site and any councillors who are members of the Round Table or the Agricultural Show Committee who did not 'declare an interest yet voted should be liable to be disciplined by the appropiate authority.

I look forward to seeing this information being published in the local media.

Don Ferguson, Church View Road, Penistone
