Burmese need help from the West

I AM appalled by the attitude of the Burmese Government by their hesitation in allowing Western aid into Burma to help the homeless and starving.
They didn't object to Western intrusion to drive out the Japanese in World War Two.

CONGRATULATIONS to The Star for being the only British paper that I've seen with Myanmar's (formerly Burma) proper name!
