The Business of the Year title went to Doncaster Re-Furnish, which also secured the Enterprise through Innovation Award.
The Nether Hall Road company specialises in collecting furniture and electrical appliances that would otherwise be dumped and
making them available to people in need.
Since it was launched in 2003, the organisation has collected 74,000 items of furniture and electrical appliances from more than 33,000 homes, and prevented 2,326 tonnes of household items from being dumped.
It has provided volunteering, training and work placement opportunities for 420 people, and supplied more than 8,000 homes with recycled goods in the last year alone.
Other Doncaster based winners were The Glow Company and Force 10 Recruitment.
The Glow Company, based at Delta Court, at Robin Hood Airport, specialises in selling products that glow in the dark, from torches, mood lighting and high-visibility safety wear to bar products, glow sticks, fluorescent gloves, tattoos and even contact lenses for clubbers.
It won the award for Fastest Growing Business, while Force 10 Recruitment, which specialises in finding jobs for ex-forces personnel, took the award for Best New-Start.
Doncaster's elected mayor, Martin Winter, said: "This is tremendous news and a real boost for the Doncaster business world.".
