Sales with a total value in excess of £1 million were achieved at the first ever Blundells' auction in Sheffield.
Three out of four of the lots on offer were sold, compared with a current national average of two out of five.

Prices achieved included £175,000 for Dora's Bakery on Middlewood Road, Hillsborough and £201,000 for a three-bedroomed semi-detached ho
use in Ecclesall.

Blundells director Andrew Winter, who is heading up Auction House Blundells, said: "We are bucking market trends and this success, a total of over £1 million of sales, proves there are still buyers out there who are happy to buy the right property at the right price, whether it's for owner-occupier or investment alike.

"Despite some of the doom and gloom around, there is still a strong interest in the market."

Blundells joined forces with national property auction specialist Auction House earlier this year to launch the new Sheffield action house.
